Bio

Matthew has a broad commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on Employment Law. Matthew acts for both employers and employees on issues ranging from drafting of Employment Contracts, wrongful dismissals, restrictive covenants, workplace issues and Human Rights matters.

In addition to his Employment Law practice, Matthew also assists with the enforcement of secured and unsecured debts, working with Banks and private lenders to sue on loan defaults, enforce General Security Agreements, as well as all aspects of mortgage enforcement.

Matthew has extensive experience in the adversarial litigation process, including appearances as counsel before the Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List and the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as several administrative bodies, including the Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of Labour.

Matthew was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to that, he received a BA from Western University in 1994.

When not practicing law, Matthew likes to spend time with his two daughters.
